Innovation and R&D

Today it has become necessary to unite R&D activities under one roof in order to carry out innovative projects, which are one of the most important prerequisites for a sustainable economy, in a more organized and systematic way.

Our R&D Center, part of Kahramanmaraş Paper, received the qualification certificate as the 576th R&D Center of Turkey from the Ministry of Industry and Technology on 13.12.2017 and was officially acknowledged.

In our R&D Center, work is carried out in 6 different departments in an integrated manner. In this context, projects in the fields of process development, project development, waste and wastewater evaluation-development, energy-automation development, product development and intellectual-industrial rights are carried out.

The continuity of professional development of our personnel working at the R&D Center is ensured by giving high priority to and supporting their postgraduate education. In this context, the center continues its activities with its professional staff of about 25 people.

Our center closely follows the requirements of the paper industry, both in the industry and science-wise, by cooperating with universities and other research and development centers. Many projects have been successfully completed, and in this regard, in addition to TÜBİTAK “2244 Industrial Doctorate Program” with 2 doctoral students, we have completed projects such as TÜBİTAK 1501, TÜBİTAK 1505 with original and innovative projects, and TÜBİTAK 1005 “innovative products”. In addition to our ongoing national projects, partnership studies are conducted in international projects, and we have registered and unregistered patents, ongoing patent and utility model projects.

Successful projects are publicized through participation in symposia, congresses and conferences. In this way, we work on new products as well as ensuring technical and technological progress through further development of existing projects.
